Got this for my husband's birthday. He is 6foot 2 inches and weighs about 230/240lbs. He absolutely LOVES it and so do our 3 puggles!! He says it is so comfortable. While watching tv and having at least 1, sometimes 2, of our 18-25lbs dogs tuck in the pillow with him, he dozes off quite easily and has no neck or back pain afterwards!When he's not home all 3 of them curl up in it and sleep for hours. The dogs can't speak but I think if they could, they'd echo the sentiment quite loudly! Lol ?The side pocket is a really nice feature that makes the easy storing of 2 remotes and his rather large cellphone.All & all it probably weighs about 5-8lbs.It's quite easy for him to take off the bed and put back on when needed. I'm significantly shorter & not as strong as he is and it does give me some difficulty hoisting 4ft in the air to put it on the bed. I imagine if our bed wasn't so high off the floor it would be no problem at all for me to get it on the bed.While I can't imagine anyone would need it to be more filled, there is a number to text for an extra bag of filling included in the packaging. My husband did text the number in anticipation of this pillow going flat quickly but it's been a month and it has yet to go flat.To the seller's credit they got the extra bag of filling to our house by 3 days later!!We did let it sit on our sofa without being used for 48 hours and then fluffed it a bit and it's been the answer to keeping my husband's actual sleeping pillows from getting squashed, bunched up, etc..I highly recommend!!I read many product reviews before I bit the bullet and invested in this pillow support - and it was an investment as the price point is higher than many of its competitors. I cannot say I wasn't tempted to go with the cheaper 80's throwback style but after just a week with this pillow, I am really glad I didn't. My positive experience began with the customer service "tips" email I received shortly after ordering; that level of service continued to surpass expectations after I received the pillow, as text message support for some questions I had was prompt and helpful. My impression is that this is a company that cares and wants their customers to be satisfied.The pillow was shipped quickly and arrived in a smaller package than I expected. There was no outgassing, no odor at all even though the pillow had been compressed and tightly wrapped in plastic. This was cited as an issue with other brands. I followed a reviewer's tip, took off the pillow cover and put the pillow in the dryer for 30 minutes on medium. Voila - a fully puffed-out support. Make sure your dryer is large enough if you try this.I got the regular cover in chocolate. The color is as shown. The cover is like velveteen, soft to the touch and, thankfully, amazingly, does not attract lint. I believe the pillow weighs about 9 pounds, so it is not too much of a monster to move around; the handle makes lifting it easy and is secured tightly to the pillow. That said, the pillow is not insubstantial either and is best for use on the bed, reading, watching videos or attending the all too frequent virus-generated Zoom meetings. It would not work for me as well in a chair or on the couch due to the thickness of the pillow. I haven't used the back pocket but the side pocket is very useful and great for holding a phone or a remote.The back without the neck pillow is definitely 24 inches, providing much higher support than the standard 18 inches of many other pillows. That alone is enough to make me grateful I chose this pillow after having sat against it for extended meetings.The ability to unzip the pillow to remove (or add) foam is a huge benefit for me. I decided I needed the back to be a bit more flexible to curve more under the base of my spine and I wanted the arms to come closer to my body. Removing foam achieved both those goals. I will warn you, however, do not wear black leggings and do it in an area that is easy to sweep. Despite sticking the opening of a plastic kitchen trash bag inside the zipper for transferring the foam, the filling escaped my hands and surrounded me. I strongly advise having a dryer sheet handy. It worked wonders to minimize static cling as I gathered the wayward pieces.The only drawback for me was the neck/head roll that attaches to the top of the main pillow. I found myself wishing it too had a zipper so I could adjust the amount of filling as it is just a bit too firm. I may end up making a small slit to remove some foam then duct tape the opening before putting the separate cover back on it. The roll has elasticized bands to attach it to two buttons on top of the main pillow. The bands have 3 openings so the roll can be secured tighter to the top or left to drop down a bit with either of the other two band openings. However, due to the fullness of the neck/head roll, if it is left to hang down, it rolls back up as I lean against it. If it is buttoned in the tightest position, the neck/head roll offers more support but is set back a bit too far for me to keep my head upright even with the pillow against the wall, thus it is not especially useful when reading or watching a video. It is better for leaning back and resting. The neck/head roll also is useful off the main pillow to support a book or my arms in front of my body if I am leaning forward to watch a screen and is also good as a support beneath my knees.The pillow and the cover can be washed and the company offers a 3 year warranty and options to buy more foam, as well as replacement or 2-color reversible covers. I expect this pillow to last for some time and recommend it for its features, quality and for the customer service experience.EDIT: After I posted my initial review, the company reached out to me and offered me a free replacement pillow. Here is their explanation of the smell I described:"Ill try to explain what happens over this smell - Memory foam and Foam sometimes has a smell that does dissipate, the industry calls this " Off Gas" . The foam was placed in an air tight vacuum bag sometimes too soon on factory floor and sealed , the Polly "Off Gas" smell get trapped in the bag. To Remedy this- You can you leave the pillow open and fully expanded for 4 to 5 hours , direct sunlight or you can put in a dry for 45 min low heat with dryer sheets, this helps too."I had already disposed of the original pillow, so I was unable to attempt the stated remedy - but perhaps it will help a reader of this review. That said, it is inconceivable that the pillow would have fit into my dryer. It’s enormous! And heavy.I accepted the offer of the free pillow. It came pre-expanded; I’m guessing they weren’t going to take any chances the second time around! It did not have the same odor issue. When I pressed my face into the fabric, I caught a faint whiff of the other pillow’s smell, but I had to put in real effort. So we’re going to call this new pillow more or less odor free. I am upgrading my review to 5 stars accordingly.CAVEAT: As I write this review, I am a Top 10 Amazon Reviewer. Be aware YMMV. On the one hand, I clearly received excellent customer service in response to my negative review. On the other hand, there is no way for me to tell if you would get that same level of attention.I also want to add that this is a really enormous husband pillow. It won’t disappoint. My daughter broke her foot and has been spending a lot of time sitting on her bed. The other day, she accidentally hit her head against the wall. A dumb joke about not adding a concussion to her woes led to my acquisition of this pillow. She is 5’3” and with the attachment her head is now fully protected. Also, you can add or remove stuffing and fluff it up. (My replacement pillow came with a fluffing device tucked into a pocket.) My understanding is that the company will send you more “fluff” free of charge upon request.ORIGINAL REVIEW:STINK STANK STUNKSo I opened the box and pulled out the pillow, which was compressed. I opened all the plastic so of course the pillow immediately started getting larger - much larger than the box it came in. And it STINKS so so so so much. (I got pink.) The entire downstairs of my house stinks now! It is just that bad. I'm on with Amazon right now trying to figure out how to return this behemoth and get it out of my house.despite the embarrassing coincidence that I (single woman) received my husband pillow on Valentines day-- I could not be happier with this guy. My back ached previously and this guy fits right into my body perfectly.The pillow head rest at the top is good for when I am sitting up straight-- but needs to be propped up with another pillow behind it to give it some support-I work at a desk during the day and am a grad student at night- so sitting is a lifestyle-- I ordered this with a laptop lap desk and I've finally found my niche.I come home and sit in this regularly to relieve my back strain from the day. wow. this is the husband I've always needed and well worth the money (minus that it smells a bit funny out of the package-- but it dissipates- lol)Having undergone a cardio oesophagectomy 22 months ago, I now have to sleep upright to avoid reflux. This pillow looked to be the answer to my getting some good sleep at last. It is not the perfect answer to my problems but, it beats having to contend with eight pillows at bedtime. The small bolster pillow doesn't seem to sit correctly on top of the back rest and I have to keep readjusting it or use an ordinary pillow for extra support. All in all, this has been a successful purchase.Bought this mainly for the arm rests, and lower back, to be located on my sofa.When we tried to reduce the amount of filling... we were appalled at the quality of the filling.It looks like the sweepings from a factory floor, some small offcuts, but mainly crumbs, some so fine that a mask was needed to manhandle the stuff. Included were some pieces of plastic, which could have been edges of foam sheets.After removing a full bin-bag of "quality" foam, it still needed more removed for my comfort, and this I attempted with a vacuum cleaner, in the hopes of getting more crumb than foam through the crevice nozzle.Lovely looking, good hype, but weighs a ton, and not good if you're frail or weakened by disability.I hope this helps, as I am not normally negative about things.Whatever you are looking for, this is it. In over 30 years I've never found a cushion I could on a bed against a wall and sit comfortably... until now. Ergonomic backrest, armrests, pockets, handles.. it's just perfect, you can sink into this and watch a film, or sit up straight with full neck support including the sides (which I wasn't expecting).I went for the brown one, it feels just like a really old comfy sofa we used to have in the 80s.Great work! :)I SO wish I had known about this pillow a year ago when I was suffering extreme back pain whilst doing my final exams. I couldn't sit comfortably in a chair and the only relief I got was laying down in bed - but try holding up heavy textbooks whilst laying down!Anyway, this pillow is one of the best around, I've done my resesrch and this is one of the biggest/tallest ones you can get. I don't see the point in the short ones which don't support your full back. Its really nice and comfortable, memory foam is the best! You can also take some out or add more in to customise it to your needs.+ I love all the colour options, I chose black and I wasn't disappointed. The fabric is lovely and silky, and the cover is interchangable.+ Washable cover!! This is another thing which made me choose this brand... None of the others have zipped covers!+ Comes with loads of memory foam, I've looked inside and its good quality shredded foam (I was worried after reading a review on here which said there was rubbish instead, not in my experience!)+ Fits well on a double bed, it takes up half the bed, so the equivalent to just a single bed really. I was concerned it was going to be too big, but it actually fits well and is squishy anyway if you wanted to store it somewhere. I use it as a reading pillow/when on laptop in bed/watching tv in bed.+ I like the removable head pillow, its comfortable, but I would like it to be more secured on and it falls to the front often. Although it does have adjustable button holes which is useful.+ Love love the top carrying handle and pockets! Great for not losing the remote.+ The arms are movable and not stiff which means you can shape it to fit your body shape.- I would like it to be a little taller! As its not completely tall enough to fit me 5'7 sitting up completely straight. You kinda have to slouch into it a bit which I guess isn't perfect posture.Overall, don't hesitate to buy this, I know its a high price but its great quality and will *fingers crossed* last years
